Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Chalkreel for ChatGPT (the “Service”), provided by DO TU ANH (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service creates whiteboard / doodle explainer videos from instructions given through ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP apps, plays them in a player in the chat, and lets you export an MP4 and download a Chalkreel project. It is free: there are no purchases, subscriptions or accounts. Exported videos are 720p and carry a small “Made with Chalkreel” mark. Your use of ChatGPT or any other assistant is governed by its provider's terms.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create, request or distribute content that:
- is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
- sexualises minors, or is sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, threatening or violent toward any person or group;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- impersonates a real person, including with a synthetic voice, or is meant to deceive people (for example disinformation, fraud or scams);
- discloses other people's personal information without permission.
You also agree not to misuse the Service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, to bypass its limits or signatures, to use its picture or voice endpoints for anything other than playing Chalkreel videos, or to access it by automated means other than an assistant acting on your requests.
3. Your content
You keep all rights in the text, pictures and other material you provide (“Your Content”) and in the videos you create. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights needed to use it. You give us a limited licence to process Your Content only to provide the Service (for example to draw scenes, fetch pictures and synthesise voice-over), as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Videos you create
You may use the videos you create with the Service for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. The built-in drawings, characters, music, sound effects and fonts are provided for use within videos made with Chalkreel and may not be extracted and redistributed on their own (the fonts remain under their open-font licences). Voice-over is generated by AI; where the law or a platform requires it, disclose that a video uses synthetic voices.
5. AI output
Storyboards are written by an AI assistant and voices are synthesised by AI. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Review videos before you publish or rely on them — especially educational, medical, legal or financial content.
6. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service or any feature (including voice-over) at any time, and may limit or block use that breaks these terms or threatens the Service.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that exports will work in every browser.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to fifty US dollars (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
9. Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
